Showing apartments for new tenants
- Air out your apartment - Make sure people are greeted with fresh air so your place isn’t too stuffy
- Clean your space - A messy space might scare off potential tenants
- Make it your own - Adding a personal touch to your space and the showing in general might make people feel more at home, making them want to live there
- Fresh smell - Too pungent smells can scare people off but the smell of scented candles without a too strong scent, a clean space or a batch of freshly baked muffins might entice them. Freshly baked muffins could even be a snack you served
- Be present - Engage in conversation and be ready to answer any questions the potential tenants may have
- Be as accessible as possible - When showing off your place, it’s important people have access to it. This can be done through scheduled appointments or traditional open houses
- Time is of the essence - Don’t rush people when they’re seeing your space: Give them time to take it all in
